School Holiday Parent Education & Collaboration Program - 22 Jan' 2026

Dear Families,

We are delighted to open Expressions of Interest for the 2026 School Holiday Parent Education and Collaboration Program at Integrative Psychology Associates. This program has been carefully designed in response to the challenges, frustrations, and uncertainties that so many families share with us throughout the year. Parents often tell me they feel alone, unheard by schools, unsure how to support their child in the moment, or overwhelmed by the constant need to advocate.

This program was created to change that.

Across 2026, we will be providing structured, compassionate, practical guidance for families who want to feel more confident, connected, and supported, at home, at school, and within their wider community. The program runs across the Term 2, Term 3, and Term 4 school holidays, and families commit to the full program to ensure meaningful progress and continuity.

This program is privately billed and separate from standard therapy appointments.

Expressions of interest will close on 19 December 2025.

Why I am offering this program

I have witnessed firsthand the immense pressure families face when navigating neurodiversity, schooling demands, behavioural challenges, emotional dysregulation, sensory needs, and inconsistent support systems. Parents are expected to be the case manager, advocate, teacher, therapist, and emotional anchor, often without clear guidance or a community around them.

The truth is, parents deserve support too.

Not just information, but connection.

Not just strategies, but confidence.

Not just resources, but a community that understands.

These sessions will give you the knowledge and practical tools you need, but just as importantly, they will bring together families walking similar paths. You will have opportunities to connect, learn from each other, normalise shared experiences, reduce isolation, and build a supportive parent community, something I see families deeply craving but rarely offered.

This is some of the most important work we can do for long term change.

Program structure

Term 2 School Holidays, entry point for all families

Two x 1.5 hour sessions, 3 hours total

These two sessions lay the foundation for the entire year. They focus on:

  • understanding ASD, ADHD, trauma, emotional regulation and sensory needs
  • behaviour support principles and predictable systems that reduce overwhelm
  • practical ways to create calmer home environments
  • school collaboration strategies, ILP and One Plan preparation and communication frameworks
  • guidance for balancing expectations between home and school
  • opportunities to connect with other parents facing similar challenges

Families will also receive access to generalised resource materials including communication templates, regulation tool overviews, ILP support documents, planning sheets, and behaviour support guides.

Term 3 School Holidays

One x 2 hour session

This session builds on Term 2 and focuses on:

  • refining strategies as your child grows
  • preparing for mid year academic, social and emotional shifts
  • strengthening emotional regulation approaches
  • planning for the upcoming term with realistic, achievable expectations
  • further community connection and shared learning among parents

Term 4 School Holidays

One x 2 hour session

This final session prepares your family for 2027. It includes:

  • reviewing your child’s progress across the year
  • identifying which strategies are working and how to carry them forward
  • preparing for new teachers, new environments, and new expectations
  • long term confidence in home routines and school collaboration
  • continued opportunities for support and community building

Program fees

Term 2 program, $450

Term 3 session, $300

Term 4 session, $300

Total program cost across the year, $1,050 per family.

A $100 dollar non refundable holding fee is required in addition to the total fee to secure your placement.

Program payments will be taken pay per term, but full year participation is required for Term 2, Term 3, and Term 4.

NDIS funding options

Although sessions must be privately billed, up to 3 hours of general resource development and support at 232.99 per hour may be claimable under Core Supports across the year. This may help reduce out of pocket costs for families with appropriate NDIS plans. Claimable resource components include general worksheets, guides, frameworks, and planning materials that support your child’s functioning.

Why commit now

Families who engage in consistent, structured support across the year tend to see the strongest long term outcomes. This program gives you:

  • a predictable support structure each school holiday period
  • strategies that build confidence and reduce overwhelm
  • clear frameworks for both home and school expectations
  • improved alignment across home, school, and therapy
  • opportunities for community connection with parents who understand your experiences

The impact of this program extends far beyond each individual session. It strengthens family functioning, improves communication, and builds sustainable skills that carry through the entire school year.
